Lonesome Dove Fest

On September 19th and 20th, Texas shotgunners will again gather in Karnes City for the annual Lonesome Dove Fest – a family oriented event put on by the Karnes City Rotary Club celebrating the opening of dove hunting season in the south zone.

The event is a great time for everyone in your family and/or circle of friends. Youth Day offers several hundred area high school students mini-seminars in firearm safety, resource and wildlife management, and general outdoor activities. There is also a parade, a competitive sporting clays team shoot, and musical entertainment.
